140.07: PHOTOTHERAPY & PSORIASIS, INTERMEDIATE - John Koo, M.D.; Wilson Liao, M.D.

Tier 1B. Phototherapy & Psoriasis, Intermediate Course 140.07 is designed to teach how to optimize the use of sophisticated, advance therapeutic options for the individual patient. This includes appropriate selection of therapies tailored to each patient's background, optimizing the dosage, and understanding the differential use of therapies for the clearing as opposed to maintenance. More specifically, the advanced therapies include phototherapy, including laser, oral and injectable biologic agents, and Goeckerman therapy
Course Objectives: 1. Present encounters, including development of an assessment and plan, efficiently and accurately. 2. Demonstrate the ability to select therapies that are best tailored for each patient's medical and social background. 3. Demonstrate the ability to optimize the dosage of therapies, and be able to implement the differential use of therapies for the clearing as opposed to maintenance.
